Role Overview
ASA Uganda is looking for a skilled and experienced Head of Human Resources to lead and manage all HR functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing HR strategies aligned with business goals, strengthening organizational culture, and supporting employee growth and well-being. This role plays a key part in driving overall organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement HR strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Promote a strong organizational culture, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
- Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain high-quality talent.
- Design and implement effective onboarding and orientation programs.
- Oversee performance management systems and support employee development.
- Manage employee relations and resolve workplace conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
- Implement and communicate HR policies in compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
- Manage compensation and benefits structures to ensure competitiveness and fairness.
- Use HR data and analytics to improve processes and support decision-making.
- Prepare regular HR reports for senior management and the board.
- Develop and maintain succession planning strategies.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and provide guidance on HR-related legal matters.
