- Job Overview
This role focuses on making sure essential supplies reach children and communities when they are needed. You will manage the full journey of supplies, from planning and procurement to delivery in the field.
In real work terms, you will track orders, coordinate transport, clear goods at customs, and ensure items reach health centers, schools, and emergency locations on time. You will also support programs that depend on these supplies, such as health campaigns, education projects, and emergency responses.
You will work closely with program teams and partners to ensure no delays affect service delivery. Your work directly supports children’s health, safety, and development across Uganda and beyond.
- Key Responsibilities
You will plan supply activities based on program needs. This includes forecasting what is required, when it is needed, and how it will be delivered.
You will handle procurement processes. You will prepare requests, evaluate suppliers, and ensure contracts meet standards. You will also track orders to avoid delays.
You will manage logistics operations. This includes coordinating transport, handling customs clearance, and ensuring proper storage in warehouses. You will monitor stock levels and prevent shortages.
You will support emergency response efforts. During crises, you will help deliver supplies quickly and ensure systems are ready before emergencies happen.
You will work with partners and government teams. You will support agreements, monitor performance, and ensure accountability in supply use.
You will provide advice on improving supply systems. This may involve training partners, improving processes, or introducing better ways to manage logistics.
- Requirements and Qualifications
You need a bachelor’s degree in fields such as Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, Logistics, Economics, or a related area. This builds your understanding of how supply systems work.
You need at least two years of experience in logistics, procurement, or supply chain work. Experience in NGOs, government, or development projects gives you an advantage.
You should understand how supply chains operate in real environments. This includes procurement steps, inventory control, and delivery processes.
You must have strong skills in financial tracking, negotiation, and partner coordination. These help you manage budgets and supplier relationships.
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN language or a local language is an added benefit.
Experience in humanitarian work or health supply chains strengthens your application. It shows you can handle pressure and urgent operations.

UGX 3,000,000 to UGX 6,500,000 per month
