About the Role
The position of Personal Assistant to the Director at the Law Development Centre (LDC) is vital for ensuring the smooth operation of high-level administrative functions. This role not only supports the Director in daily tasks but also plays a crucial part in facilitating communications and managing engagements that influence legal training and reform in Uganda.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain external and international contacts for the Director.
- Coordinate travel arrangements for the Director, including visa applications, travel insurance, flight bookings, and accommodation.
- Oversee the activities and leave schedules of all staff within the Office of the Director.
- Conduct research pertinent to the operations of the Office of the Director.
- Review and respond to correspondence addressed to the Director, ensuring timely follow-up actions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
- Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre.
- Enrolled Advocate of the High Court of Uganda.
- Postgraduate training in management is advantageous.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years supporting senior-level executives.
