The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) is a global entity mandated to support Member States in preventing and countering illicit drugs, organized crime, corruption, and terrorism. In Uganda, UNODC collaborates with government institutions, including the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Department of Community Service, to strengthen the criminal justice system. Through programs focused on alternative sentencing, rehabilitation, and reintegration, UNODC promotes evidence-based policies, social cohesion, and reduced recidivism.
