2. Key Responsibilities

As a Chinese Interpreter at Backbone Feeds, your daily duties will include:

Oral Interpretation

• Translate spoken conversations between Chinese and English speakers in meetings, discussions, and workplace interactions
• Assist managers and staff during training sessions and operational briefings
• Ensure clear understanding during negotiations and technical discussions

Written Translation

• Translate documents, emails, reports, and work instructions between Chinese and English
• Support communication of company policies, production guidelines, and technical manuals
• Ensure translated materials are accurate and easy to understand

Workplace Communication Support

• Act as a communication link between Chinese management and Ugandan staff
• Help resolve misunderstandings caused by language barriers
• Support smooth coordination in daily operations, especially in production environments

Administrative Support

• Assist with preparing bilingual documents when required
• Support meetings by taking notes and summarizing key points in both languages
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company information

3. Requirements & Qualifications

To qualify for this role, you should have:

• Fluency in both Chinese (Mandarin preferred) and English
• Experience in translation or interpretation is highly preferred
