About the Role

micro1 Inc. is seeking a skilled Content Writer & Editor to play a pivotal role in enhancing text quality for AI evaluation projects. This position is crucial as it directly impacts the development of next-generation AI systems by ensuring the input data is of the highest quality. In your first few months, you will engage with various texts, providing critical assessments and feedback that shape how AI models learn and perform. You will work remotely, collaborating with project coordinators and specialists to refine AI-generated content, ensuring clarity and coherence throughout. This role not only leverages your writing expertise but also contributes to the advancement of AI technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the clarity, coherence, and accuracy of written content to ensure it aligns with established project standards.
• Perform detailed writing assessments and provide constructive feedback aimed at fostering continuous improvement in text quality.
• Identify and annotate AI-generated content, focusing on recognizing low-quality elements often referred to as “AI slop.”
• Edit documents meticulously, ensuring proper grammar, syntax, structure, and tone while maintaining a high level of English proficiency.
• Collaborate with project coordinators and other specialists in a remote setting, offering actionable editorial insights to enhance project outcomes.
• Contribute analytical written recommendations aimed at improving the overall effectiveness of AI model training datasets.
• Adhere to defined project timelines, ensuring consistency and reliability in the quality of deliverables.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A proven track record in writing, editing, or evaluating text-based documents is essential for this role.
• A Bachelor’s degree in English, Linguistics, or a related field, or relevant experience teaching English is highly desirable.
• Native-level proficiency in English, with a keen attention to detail in both written and verbal communication.
• Demonstrable ability to distinguish between human-written and AI-generated text, emphasizing the importance of quality.
• Experience in projects that involve content assessments, editorial reviews, or quality assurance is a significant advantage.
• Strong organizational skills are necessary, alongside the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
