Social Media & Content Specialist
About the Role:
We are looking for a creative and strategic Social Media & Content Specialist to manage and enhance MTN’s online presence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, scheduling, and publishing engaging content across multiple social media platforms and websites, ensuring alignment with the MTN brand personality. You will play a key role in driving audience engagement, increasing brand awareness, and supporting marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create, plan, and publish high-quality content for social media channels and websites.
- Develop campaign strategies that resonate with target audiences and drive engagement.
- Craft compelling copy and visuals that reflect MTN’s brand voice and messaging.
- Collaborate with marketing and creative teams to design digital assets and content calendars.
- Monitor social media performance metrics and provide actionable insights to improve campaigns.
- Engage with audiences, respond to comments, and foster community interaction.
- Stay updated on social media trends, tools, and best practices to enhance content effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
- Proven experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
- Strong copywriting, storytelling, and content design skills.
- Familiarity with social media analytics and performance tools.
- Creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of MTN’s brand guidelines or telecommunications marketing is a plus.
Work Experience:
- Minimum 1–3 years of experience managing social media or digital content.
- Experience in creating campaigns that drive measurable engagement and conversions.
