Facilitator for EvalforEarth Community of Practice

About the Role

The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking a dedicated Facilitator for the EvalforEarth Community of Practice (CoP), a role pivotal for enhancing engagement and knowledge sharing among its members. This position is essential for fostering a collaborative environment where stakeholders can discuss innovative ideas and solutions to global food challenges. The first few months in this role will involve conducting background research to identify relevant topics, facilitating discussions, and initiating collaborative events that empower community members. This is a home-based position, but occasional travel may be required to support community activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with community members by facilitating discussions that elevate relevant topics and manage interactions on the community platform.
• Conduct thorough background research to pinpoint emerging topics for online discussions, webinars, and resource offerings aimed at enhancing community knowledge.
• Review and approve new member applications, ensuring that the mailing list and member database are current and accessible.
• Organize and lead webinars, virtual meetings, and various events to foster active participation within the community.
• Curate and regularly update the content on the EvalforEarth web platform, ensuring it remains relevant and engaging for members.
• Monitor community activities and maintain communication with supporting agencies, providing regular updates to the International Evaluation and Accountability System (IAES).
• Coordinate and document monthly Steering Group meetings, ensuring that notes reflect discussions and action points for future reference.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant field such as social sciences, international development, or communication is preferred.
• Proven experience in community engagement and facilitation, ideally within a development or humanitarian context.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English; knowledge of French and Spanish is a plus.
• Experience in content management and familiarity with social media platforms to enhance community visibility and outreach.
