About the Role

The Finance & Reconciliation Associate at Grey plays a crucial role in supporting the company’s daily financial operations. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of financial records, processing payments, and ensuring accurate reconciliations. In the first few months, you will become familiar with the company’s financial systems and processes, while collaborating closely with various teams, including Operations and Treasury. Your work will help to identify areas for process improvements and enhance overall financial efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• You will perform daily reconciliations of bank accounts, wallets, payment processors, and general-ledger entries to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Your role involves reconciling customer transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and bill payments, ensuring all records align with underlying transaction data.
• Investigating and resolving reconciliation discrepancies will be a key part of your job, requiring you to escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate parties promptly.
• You will support the daily processing of payments, ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded and documented to maintain financial integrity.
• Maintaining and reviewing Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable documentation will ensure that all invoices and supporting records are in order for timely financial reporting.
• Your responsibilities will extend to preparing month-end reconciliation schedules and assisting in the compilation of financial statements and management reports.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential for this role.
• You should possess at least 2-3 years of experience in a finance-related position, ideally with a focus on reconciliation and financial operations.
• Familiarity with financial software and tools, particularly for reconciliation processes, will be important for your success.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are critical to accurately identify discrepancies and resolve them efficiently.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with various teams and external partners.
