Financial Controller

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare and review IFS-compliant statutory financial statements.
• Manage tax compliance, including VAT, PAYE, Withholding Tax, Excise Duty, and Corporate Income Tax.
• Oversee Accounts Payable and Treasury functions.
• Monitor cash flow, bank reconciliations, and foreign exchange exposure.
• Strengthen internal controls, financial policies, and governance frameworks.
• Lead, coach, and develop Treasury and Accounts Payable teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, or equivalent).
• ICPAU membership or eligibility.
• Strong ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
• 7-10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role.
• Experience with IFRS reporting, tax compliance, URA audits, treasury, accounts payable, and external audits.
• Telecommunications industry experience is an added advantage.
