Job Title:
Inventory Accounts Assistant
Reports To:
Accounts Supervisor Receivables
Job Purpose
The overall purpose of the job is to provide technical support to the finance function by monitoring and tracking and reconciliation of Route -sales.
Responsibilities
· Daily Updating of stocks, Delivery notes and Goods returned to DMS Sales App
· Posting all inter-depot stock transfers on daily basis
· Perform day-to-day reconciliation of Route-sales accounts to confirm existing stock levels, closing stocks, and confirmation of zero stock balances before next loading
· Monitor stock levels and track inventory movements (receipts, issues, transfers, returns)
· Ensure proper documentation for all inventory transactions.
· Perform regular stock reconciliations between physical counts and system records.
· Investigate and resolve discrepancies (losses, damages, variances);
· Ensure implementation of company policies and internal controls
· Perform any other finance and administrative duties assigned by the Financial Manager from time to time.
Person Specification
Education, Training, Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s in accounting/finance/business administration from a recognized institution.
· Minimum of 2 years’ related experience.
Technical & Behavioural competencies
· Accounting/Bookkeeping skills
· Computer skills with working knowledge of MS Excel
· Good numerical skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to lead by example and provide guidance to others (collaboration and leadership).
· Organisation and strong attention to detail
· Good time management
· Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
· Effective communication skills
· Ability to work as a team
· Negotiation skills especially when dealing with suppliers/vendors
