About the Role

The Junior Accounting position at Flag Theory is a vital role aimed at supporting the Financial Controller in managing various aspects of financial operations. This position not only focuses on corporate accounting and financial reporting but also plays a significant part in budgeting and the establishment of internal control policies. In your first few months, you can expect to gain hands-on experience in accounting functions while working closely with international financial frameworks. Key Responsibilities

• You will oversee all accounting allocations, ensuring they are documented accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
• Your role will involve managing cash functions, which includes monitoring cash flow and ensuring liquidity for daily operations.
• As part of your duties, you will supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely transactions and accurate record-keeping.
• You will establish and execute internal controls under the guidance of the Financial Controller, enhancing the integrity of financial processes.
• Your responsibilities will include preparing and delivering comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets and cash flow reports, to support decision-making.
• You will collaborate with external tax accountants to facilitate income tax preparation, ensuring compliance with local and international standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping is essential for this role.
• Experience working with international companies is highly valued, as it provides a broader perspective on global accounting practices.
• You should have a thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero or QuickBooks, along with strong administration skills, is required.
• Experience in preparing financial statements and managing the month-end and year-end close processes is a must for this position.
