About the Role
The Raw Material Inspector plays a vital role in ensuring that all incoming raw materials meet the required quality standards before they are utilized in production processes. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of the manufacturing operations at TWYFORD INTERNATIONAL. Within the first few months, you will be trained on inspection protocols and familiarize yourself with the various raw materials used in production. You will work closely with the Technical Manager and production teams to address any quality issues, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. Your efforts will directly impact product quality and production efficiency, making this role essential to the company’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and sample all incoming raw materials, including clays, feldspar, and packaging materials, ensuring they meet quality specifications.
- Conduct thorough physical, chemical, and visual inspections based on established test methods to assess the quality of materials.
- Perform laboratory tests such as particle size analysis and moisture content testing, using various equipment to determine chemical composition.
- Accurately record all test results and compare them against approved specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Maintain detailed inspection records, including sampling logs and non-conformance reports, to support quality assurance processes.
- Issue non-conformance reports for rejected materials and coordinate with procurement and suppliers to address quality issues.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A minimum of a diploma in materials science, chemistry, or a related field is required for this position.
- At least two years of experience in quality assurance or materials inspection, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with laboratory testing equipment and quality control processes is essential for success in this role.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are necessary to identify and resolve quality issues effectively.
- Excellent communication skills are required to collaborate with suppliers and production teams on quality matters.
