Description

This role is for someone who enjoys both sales and hands-on technical work. As a Technical Solar Sales Representative at Cworth Energy Service Uganda Ltd, your main goal is to help customers find the right solar solutions for their homes or businesses, while also growing the company’s customer base.

On a normal day, you will talk to walk-in clients at the Kireka showroom, respond to calls and WhatsApp inquiries, and explain solar products in simple terms. You will also move into the field, visiting client sites with a technician to assess power needs and recommend the right system size. This is not a desk job. It mixes office work, field visits, and relationship building with installers and hardware shops.

If you enjoy interacting with people, solving real energy problems, and closing deals, this role gives you that opportunity.

  1. Key Responsibilities

You will be the bridge between the company and the customer. Your work will directly influence sales and customer satisfaction.

Daily tasks include handling walk-in clients at the showroom, answering phone calls, and responding to WhatsApp and social media inquiries. You will explain products like solar panels, inverters, lithium batteries, and lighting systems in a way that customers understand.

You will prepare quotations based on customer needs and follow up consistently until the sale is completed. Many deals require patience and multiple follow-ups.

Fieldwork is also important. You will visit client sites with a technician to assess energy needs, take measurements, and recommend the right system. This helps build trust and increases your chances of closing sales.

You will also visit electricians, installers, and hardware shops to promote products and build long-term partnerships. These relationships often bring repeat business.

You will work with monthly sales targets and submit simple reports showing your progress.

  1. Requirements and Qualifications

You need a technical background to understand solar systems and explain them to customers clearly.

A Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field is required. This helps you understand how solar systems work, including inverters, batteries, and panels.

At least three months of experience in solar sales or technical sales is expected. Even short experience matters because it shows you understand how to sell technical products.

You should know basic solar sizing and system components. This means you can estimate what a customer needs based on their usage.

Strong communication skills are important. You must speak and write English well. Luganda or a western Uganda language is an added advantage because many customers prefer local languages.

You should be comfortable using a computer for Word, Excel, and email. You also need to actively use WhatsApp and social media to follow up with clients and close sales.

You must be comfortable working under sales targets and managing your own pipeline.

  1. Salary Range Estimate

Expected range, UGX 800,000 to UGX 1,500,000 per month as base salary.

Commission can significantly increase your earnings depending on performance. High performers in solar sales can earn above UGX 2,000,000 monthly when commissions are included.

  1. About the Company

Cworth Energy Service Uganda Ltd operates in the growing renewable energy sector. The company focuses on providing solar solutions such as inverters, batteries, and lighting systems to homes and businesses.

The solar industry in Uganda is expanding fast due to high electricity costs and unreliable grid supply in some areas. This creates strong demand for solar products. Working in this company gives you exposure to a practical and high-demand field, with opportunities to grow into senior sales or technical roles.

The work environment is performance-driven. Results matter. You will receive product training and support, but you are expected to take initiative and close deals.

  1. Location Breakdown

The job is based in Kireka, Kampala, which is a busy commercial area along Jinja Road. It offers access to many businesses, hardware shops, and residential customers.

Kampala provides strong sales opportunities because of its high population and growing demand for solar solutions. You will also travel upcountry, especially in the central region, where solar adoption is increasing in homes, schools, and small businesses.

Transport planning is important since field visits are part of the job. Having a driving license is an advantage and can make your work easier.
