Description

About the Role

Gratia, a prominent global alternative asset manager, is seeking a skilled Senior Data Analyst/Manager to bring order to a dynamic and intricate data environment. This role is essential in streamlining data across various domains, including treasury, finance, risk, and accounting, enabling informed decision-making and operational efficiency from the outset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and structure data domains for treasury, finance, risk, FP&A, and accounting, establishing business logic and data ownership as necessary.
  • Manage the complete source-to-target mapping process — including extraction, transformation, enrichment, cleansing, and organization of data from complex source systems into reliable outputs.
  • Convert business requirements into technical specifications by collaborating with finance, treasury, and risk stakeholders to gather precise needs for technology teams or external vendors.
  • Understand and navigate financial nuances, such as management fee structures and cash flow categorizations, to ensure accurate data retrieval.
  • Quickly acclimate to the role and drive initiatives forward without extensive training, leveraging your background in treasury or risk data.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for the Manager role or 3 years for the Analyst role in asset management, private equity, or similar financial services.
  • Proven track record in data domain creation — hands-on experience in building and restructuring data domains, including source-to-target mapping and data cleansing.
  • Strong financial and accounting literacy, particularly for the Manager, with the ability to discern various interpretations of metrics and ask insightful follow-up questions.
  • Proficiency with OneStream and/or Snowflake is preferred, showcasing hands-on experience rather than mere familiarity.
  • Experience working in a large-scale alternative asset management firm is advantageous, ideally at companies like Blackstone, KKR, or similar.

What You’ll Gain

  • Opportunity to enhance your data management skills in a fast-paced environment, crucial for your career growth in the financial services sector.
  • Develop a deep understanding of financial data landscapes, positioning you for advancement in roles related to finance and risk management.
  • Work with cutting-edge technologies and methodologies, gaining experience that is highly valued in the asset management industry.
  • Collaborate with a team of experts, expanding your professional network and learning from industry leaders.
