About the Role

The Quality Control Inspector position at Pavilion PACKAGING is a pivotal role in our mission to enhance the recycling of plastics in Uganda. As a dynamic player in the plastic recycling industry, our company focuses on sustainability and innovation, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position is essential for maintaining the integrity of our processes and products, which directly impact customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility. In the initial months, you will receive training on our quality assurance protocols, allowing you to familiarize yourself with our operations while actively contributing to the quality control processes.

Key Responsibilities

• You will conduct thorough inspections of incoming PET bottles and other raw materials to ensure they meet our quality standards before processing.
• Your role will involve closely monitoring the washing and recycling processes to guarantee that all products are manufactured under optimal conditions.
• You will perform tests on RPET flakes, evaluating them for cleanliness, moisture content, color accuracy, contamination levels, and flake size to ensure they comply with specifications.
• Maintaining accurate quality records and detailed inspection reports will be a key part of your responsibilities, which are vital for traceability and accountability.
• You will collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve any quality issues that arise during the manufacturing process, ensuring a seamless workflow.
• Your commitment to upholding our company’s quality standards will ensure that all finished products align with customer expectations and regulatory requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Quality Management, or a related field is required for this position.
• Previous experience in quality control within the plastic recycling, manufacturing, or a related sector will be considered an advantage.
• You should possess strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills, enabling you to identify issues and devise effective solutions.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential for success in this role.
• Familiarity with laboratory testing and quality inspection procedures will enhance your effectiveness in this position.
