About the Role
The Sponsorship Manager at Urban Flow Parkour Africa plays a crucial role in advancing the organization’s mission of empowering youth through parkour. This position is pivotal in securing partnerships and sponsorships that directly impact the development of community programs in Uganda. Over the first few months, you will immerse yourself in understanding the local landscape and building essential relationships with potential sponsors, NGOs, and community stakeholders. Your efforts will not only contribute to funding but also enhance the visibility of parkour as a tool for youth development.
Key Responsibilities
- You will identify and secure diverse sponsorship opportunities that align with Urban Flow Parkour Africa’s mission in Uganda, focusing on community impact and youth empowerment.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with corporate sponsors, NGOs, educational institutions, and community partners to foster long-term collaborations.
- Negotiate sponsorship agreements that ensure mutual benefit and the delivery of promised value to all stakeholders involved.
- Collaborate closely with the Uganda Country Director and the Continental Headquarters to ensure that all sponsorship initiatives align with the organizational goals and strategy.
- Monitor and report on the performance of sponsorships, including assessing their impact, and strategizing for renewals and improvements.
- Engage in local travel to meet with potential sponsors and partners, enhancing your understanding of community needs and opportunities.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A strong background in sales, sponsorship acquisition, or fundraising, demonstrating a track record of successful partnerships.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, essential for building rapport and securing deals with diverse stakeholders.
- A genuine passion for youth development, community empowerment, and the transformative power of sports.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid work environment, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.
- Must be based in Uganda and possess the willingness to travel locally as required for sponsorship engagement.
