About the Role
The Software Developer Internship at Graduate Innovation Thinktank Co. Ltd offers a unique opportunity for ambitious university students to immerse themselves in the world of software development. This role is crucial as it contributes to the development of LoadMaster, an innovative logistics platform aimed at enhancing cargo movement and transport coordination. Over the first few months, interns will participate in weekly mentorship sessions, allowing them to track their progress and adapt their learning experiences to meet their career goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team to design and implement features for the LoadMaster platform, ensuring functionality meets user needs.
- Participate in code reviews to enhance code quality and share best practices with peers, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Engage in debugging processes, identifying and resolving software issues to maintain the performance and reliability of the application.
- Document software specifications and development processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and future reference within the team.
- Contribute to the testing phases of software development, ensuring that new features are thoroughly vetted before deployment.
- Work independently on assigned tasks while maintaining effective communication with the development team during weekly check-ins.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Applicants must be current university students in their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year, pursuing a degree in ICT, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.8 is required to ensure academic competence and commitment to excellence.
- Strong motivation and enthusiasm for real-world software development practices are essential for success in this role.
- Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work independently and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines.
- Proficiency in programming languages relevant to the development tasks, such as Python, Java, or JavaScript, is preferred.
