Enterprise Product Manager(IT Hardware)

About the Role

The Enterprise Product Manager for IT Hardware at SYBYL plays a crucial role in shaping the technology landscape for businesses in Uganda. This position is focused on managing and expanding the company’s portfolio of IT hardware products, which includes laptops, PCs, UPSs, MFPs, and entry-level servers. In the initial months, you will immerse yourself in the product offerings, collaborate with original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners, and engage with customers to understand their specific technology needs. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving revenue targets while enhancing customer satisfaction through tailored technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• You will oversee the IT hardware product portfolio, ensuring it meets market demands and aligns with customer expectations.
• Leading the end-to-end tender and request for quotation (RFQ) processes will be a critical aspect of your role, where you will prepare technical proposals and compliance documentation.
• Establishing strong relationships with OEM partners is essential, as you will work closely with them to obtain necessary certifications and secure competitive pricing.
• Your role will involve direct engagement with customers to assess their business needs and recommend appropriate technology solutions that enhance their operations.
• Driving product sales and consistently achieving revenue targets will be fundamental to your success in this position.
• Collaboration with internal teams will be key to ensuring seamless order execution and fostering high levels of customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field is typically required for this role.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in product management or a related position within the technology sector is expected.
• Strong understanding of IT hardware products and market trends will be critical to your effectiveness in this role.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary for engaging with customers and collaborating with team members and partners.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, along with a results-oriented mindset, will greatly benefit your performance.
