About the Role
The Clinical Demand Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific plays a pivotal role in enhancing healthcare outcomes across North and West Africa by promoting the use of B·R·A·H·M·S Procalcitonin (PCT). This position is crucial as it directly influences clinical practices related to sepsis management and antibiotic stewardship, making a tangible difference in patient care. Key Responsibilities
- Your primary task will be to drive the adoption of B·R·A·H·M·S PCT in targeted hospitals, focusing on its application in managing sepsis and optimizing antibiotic use.
- You will increase test utilization by implementing structured clinical engagement strategies, which includes educational sessions and regular follow-ups with healthcare providers.
- Forming partnerships with licensed partners and distributors will be essential for strengthening execution plans and driving overall growth in testing volumes.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), clinicians, hospital stakeholders, and medical societies will be a critical aspect of your role.
- Leading clinical education initiatives, such as workshops, congresses, roadshows, and training programs, will be necessary to ensure effective knowledge transfer.
- You will identify market opportunities, track competitor actions, and monitor regulatory changes to provide actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Collaboration with the Commercial and Marketing teams will be vital to align priorities, strategy, and annual operating plan (AOP) delivery.
- Support broader clinical demand initiatives and cross-divisional projects will be part of your responsibilities as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, or a related field is essential for this role.
- You should possess experience in diagnostics, medical devices, or the healthcare sector to effectively navigate this field.
- Demonstrated ability to drive clinical adoption and utilization of medical products is a critical requirement.
- Experience working with distributors or indirect commercial models is preferred and will aid in your success.
- Strong clinical acumen, coupled with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, will be necessary for effective engagement.
- Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of local languages may be advantageous in enhancing stakeholder relationships.
