The 2D Video Animator position at Impact and Innovations Development Centre (IIDC) focuses on creating visually compelling animations that enhance learning and promote effective communication within the organization. This role is essential for developing engaging content that supports the SAFE Employment Project’s goals in safeguarding social and behavior change. In the first few months, you will familiarize yourself with project objectives, collaborate closely with the SBCC Technical Advisor, and begin to craft storyboards that translate complex concepts into dynamic visual narratives that resonate with diverse audiences.
Key Responsibilities
You will develop storyboards that effectively outline the visual narrative for various projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and audience engagement strategies.
Design and animate 2D characters and scenes that capture attention and illustrate key messages in an engaging manner.
Integrate motion graphics into your animations to enhance storytelling and provide viewers with a richer experience.
Refine your animations based on constructive feedback from project teams, ensuring that the final products meet high-quality standards and project expectations.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure that the animations align with the overall communication strategy and project objectives.
Stay updated on the latest animation trends and techniques, applying innovative ideas to improve the quality and effectiveness of your work.
Requirements & Qualifications
A strong proficiency in 2D animation techniques and motion capture, demonstrating your ability to create lifelike characters and engaging scenes.
Experience in planning visual narratives using storyboarding, showcasing your ability to think creatively and strategically about animation projects.
Excellent communication skills that facilitate effective collaboration with team members and the presentation of creative concepts to stakeholders.
Proficiency in industry-standard animation and design software such as Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop, ensuring you can produce high-quality work.
A diploma or degree in Animation, Multimedia Design, Graphic Design, or a related field will be advantageous, bolstering your technical foundation in this area.
