About the Role

The Field Salesperson position at Platinum Credit Limited in Kampala is a vital role focused on promoting mental health services within underserved communities. This position is essential for expanding awareness and participation in StrongMinds Uganda’s impactful programs aimed at treating depression. In the initial months, you will immerse yourself in understanding the organization’s offerings and build relationships with local partners, stakeholders, and community members. Your efforts will directly contribute to the overall mission of enhancing mental health outcomes in Uganda, making this role both rewarding and socially significant.

Key Responsibilities

• You will actively seek new leads and opportunities to promote StrongMinds Uganda’s mental health services, engaging with potential partners and donors.
• Conducting outreach visits and presentations will be a regular part of your role, where you will clearly explain the organization’s program offerings to diverse stakeholders.
• Maintaining accurate records of all interactions, including follow-ups and meetings, will help streamline your outreach efforts and ensure effective communication.
• Preparing basic sales and outreach reports will be essential for tracking your progress and identifying areas for improvement in engagement strategies.
• You will collaborate closely with program teams to gain insights into current services, which will enhance your ability to represent the organization effectively.
• Providing feedback from your field experiences will be crucial in helping the organization refine its initiatives and better meet community needs.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Candidates should have demonstrated experience in sales, outreach, or community engagement, particularly in nonprofit, healthcare, or social services settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are vital, enabling you to present information clearly and build trust with diverse stakeholders.
• A basic proficiency with office and productivity tools such as email, word processing, and spreadsheets is expected for maintaining organized records.
• Proven ability to work on-site in Kampala is essential, along with the flexibility to travel locally as needed for outreach activities.
• Familiarity with the Ugandan context and local languages is an advantage, along with a genuine interest in mental health and community well-being.
