English to Turkish FPS Game Localization Project, AIPE Task, Long-term

About the Role

This long-term project focuses on the localization of first-person shooter (FPS) games, translating content from English to Turkish. The significance of this role lies in enhancing the gaming experience for Turkish-speaking audiences by ensuring that the game’s language feels natural and engaging. In the initial months, you will familiarize yourself with the company’s translation platform and the specific demands of FPS game localization. You will work closely with the project management team to meet daily translation targets while maintaining high-quality standards. Moreover, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that values quick turnaround times and effective communication.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for translating and localizing gaming content, ensuring that it resonates with the target audience while adhering to the game’s context.
• Your work will involve proofreading and editing translations to correct any errors and enhance overall quality.
• Engagement in MT post-editing (MTPE) will be expected, where you will refine machine-generated translations to meet project standards.
• You will need to manage a workload of approximately 4,000 to 6,000 words per day, ensuring timely delivery of tasks.
• Quick response times during project working hours will be essential to facilitate seamless communication and project updates.
• Collaboration with fellow translators and project managers will occur regularly to resolve issues and discuss best practices in localization.

• Proven experience in FPS game localization, showcasing your understanding of gaming culture and terminology.
• A strong ability to meet daily word count targets, demonstrating effective time management skills.
• Excellent written Turkish language skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for gaming.
• Experience with translation platforms and tools, facilitating an efficient workflow.
• Responsive and communicative, ensuring you are available during project hours for instant collaboration.
