Director, Delivery Solutions Architects – Public Sector

About the Role

As the Director of Delivery Solutions Architects (DSA) for the Public Sector at Databricks, you will play a crucial role in leading a dynamic post-sales technical organization focused on empowering government clients to leverage the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform effectively. This position is essential for facilitating the rapid and secure transition of complex Data and AI initiatives from conception to implementation across various public sectors, including federal and local governments, education, and adjacent organizations. In the initial months, you will be engaged in building a high-performing team, defining strategic objectives, and establishing operational frameworks to ensure customer satisfaction and success.

Key Responsibilities

• You will lead and develop a diverse team of Delivery Solution Architects (DSAs) and managers, nurturing a culture that emphasizes collaboration, psychological safety, and a strong commitment to customer service.
• It will be your responsibility to design, implement, and refine the post-sales execution strategy specifically tailored for Databricks’ Public Sector operations.
• Collaboration with Sales, Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, and Customer Success teams will be critical to align account plans and growth strategies effectively.
• You will establish scalable account assignments and resource allocation practices to prioritize strategic accounts within the Public Sector.
• Standardizing the guidance process for DSAs, you will ensure customers receive comprehensive support from use-case discovery through to implementation and platform expansion.
• As a leader, you will maintain a technically proficient DSA organization, proficient in areas such as data engineering, cloud platforms, and machine learning applications.
• Your role will also involve serving as a trusted technical advisor to select strategic customers, linking their technical needs to broader agency missions and measurable outcomes.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in technical leadership roles, specifically in data architecture or cloud solutions.
• Experience in managing high-performing technical teams, with a track record of fostering collaboration and achieving customer outcomes.
• Strong knowledge of data engineering, machine learning, and cloud technologies, particularly in a public sector context.
• Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategies for diverse stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build trust and rapport with clients and team members alike.
