Job Purpose
We are looking for a Medical Devices Supervisor responsible for providing professional supervision of the company’s medical device activities while also leading market assessment, business development and sales activities in Uganda. Combines technical knowledge of medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
. Professional & Regulatory Supervision
• supervise the company’s medical device operations, subject to applicable regulatory approval.
• Maintain a valid professional registration and annual practicing license.
• Support compliance with Uganda National Drug Authority (NDA) and other regulatory requirements
• Ensure medical devices handled by the company are appropriately documented, stored and distributed.
• Support product registration, import permits and regulatory documentation.
• Maintain appropriate records relating to medical devices.
• Support reporting and management of product complaints, adverse events and recalls.
• Supervise and guide the Professional Auxiliary Staff.

Market Assessment & Business Development

• Conduct regular market assessments for laboratory, diagnostic, imaging and other medical equipment.
• Identify currently installed equipment, brands, models and competitors in the market.
• Collect information on customer workload, equipment utilization, test volumes and future requirements
• Monitor upcoming projects, tenders and procurement opportunities.
• Monitor competitor products, pricing, strengths and weaknesses.
• Prepare periodic market assessment and competitor reports for management.

Sales & Customer Development

• Identify and develop new customers and sales opportunities.
• Conduct regular customer visits and follow-ups.
• Present products and technical solutions to customers.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Prepare quotations and coordinate technical and commercial proposals.
• Follow up quotations, tenders and ongoing sales opportunities.
• Maintain an updated customer and opportunity database.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology/Science OR Medical Radiography/Medical Imaging
• Valid/current practicing license.
• Good knowledge of healthcare facilities and the medical sector in Uganda.
• Willingness to travel extensively for customer visits within Uganda.
• Good computer skills

Experience:

• Minimum 2+ years of relevant professional experience preferred
• experience in medical equipment, diagnostics, laboratory equipment, imaging equipment or medical-device sales is highly desirable.
• experience in market management management assessment or business development is an advantage.
