Peace Corps Uganda is the Uganda-based program of the U.S. Peace Corps, an independent agency of the United States Government. Established in Uganda in 1964 at the invitation of the Ugandan Government, Peace Corps Uganda works with local communities, government institutions, schools, and partner organizations to support sustainable community development and strengthen cultural understanding between Ugandans and Americans.
