  1. Job Overview
    This role focuses on making sure materials needed for electricity connection projects are planned, tracked, and delivered on time. You will sit between the connections team, procurement unit, and stores department to ensure smooth flow of materials from purchase to field delivery.

In real work terms, you will check what materials are needed for new electricity connections, follow up procurement progress, and confirm that items reach the right site at the right time. You will prevent delays caused by missing or late materials.

You will also work with data daily. You will analyze stock levels, track demand trends, and produce reports that help management make decisions. Your work directly affects how fast customers get connected to electricity.

  1. Key Responsibilities
    You will prepare and maintain materials plans for new connection projects. These plans will match project timelines and expected demand from the field.

You will track procurement activities. You will follow each stage from request, sourcing, supplier selection, ordering, and delivery. You will flag delays early and recommend action.

You will coordinate with stores teams. You will monitor stock availability, delivery schedules, and distribution of materials to field teams.

You will analyze materials data. You will study consumption trends, stock levels, supplier lead times, and procurement performance. You will turn this data into reports and dashboards for decision making.

You will prepare regular reports on materials status. These reports will show what is available, what is delayed, and what risks exist.

You will inspect materials processes. You will check compliance with standards and identify defects or issues that affect quality.

You will assess supply risks. You will identify possible shortages and develop backup plans for critical materials.

You will support process improvement. You will recommend ways to reduce delays, prevent stock shortages, and improve coordination between departments.

You will perform any other duties assigned to support smooth delivery of connection projects.

  1. Requirements and Qualifications
    You need a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Economics, or a related field. This supports both technical and analytical work.

You need 5 to 7 years of experience in materials planning, demand planning, or supply chain coordination. Experience in large organizations is important.

Experience in the electricity or utilities sector is strongly preferred. It helps you understand field operations and connection processes.

You must have strong skills in data analysis and reporting. You should be able to work with large datasets and produce clear insights.

You need hands on experience with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle. These systems are used for procurement and inventory tracking.

You must be skilled in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. You should be able to build dashboards, models, and automated reports.

Membership in supply chain bodies such as CIPS or CILT is an added advantage. Certifications like CSCP or CPIM also strengthen your profile.

You need strong coordination skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.

    UGX 4,000,000 to UGX 8,500,000 per month

Salary depends on experience, technical skills, and exposure to utility or large scale procurement systems. Some roles may include allowances linked to field coordination and performance.
