  1. Job Overview
    This role focuses on turning data into action for child nutrition programs in Uganda. You will collect, organize, analyze, and share information that helps teams make clear decisions in humanitarian and development work.

In real work terms, you will track nutrition data from field sites, health centers, and partners in places like Moroto and surrounding districts. You will clean and verify data, build dashboards, and create reports that show where children need urgent support.

You will support decision makers with facts, not guesswork. Your work helps improve nutrition responses, emergency planning, and resource allocation for children in vulnerable communities.

  1. Key Responsibilities
    You will design and implement information management systems that collect nutrition and humanitarian data. You will make sure data collection tools are clear, practical, and aligned with field conditions.

You will gather data from different sources. This includes surveys, health reports, partner submissions, and field assessments. You will clean and organize this data to ensure accuracy.

You will analyze data to identify trends such as malnutrition levels, service gaps, and program performance. You will turn raw data into reports that guide action.

You will create dashboards, maps, and visual reports. These tools help teams quickly understand what is happening in different regions.

You will support field teams and partners by training them on data collection standards and tools.

You will maintain secure data systems. You will ensure information is stored properly and remains accessible for authorized users.

You will work with coordination groups and government partners to align data systems and improve information sharing.

You will collaborate with ICT teams to improve data tools, including mobile data collection and digital reporting systems.

  1. Requirements and Qualifications
    You need a master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, GIS, Social Sciences, or a related field. This gives you strong technical and analytical knowledge.

You need at least five years of experience in data management, information systems, monitoring and evaluation, or GIS work. Experience in NGO or UN settings is preferred.

You must have strong skills in data analysis, database management, and reporting. You should be comfortable working with large datasets.

You need experience in tools for data visualization and reporting such as dashboards, infographics, and mapping systems.

You must understand humanitarian or development work. Experience in fragile or emergency settings is an advantage.

You need strong communication skills to work with government teams, NGOs, and internal program staff.

Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of local languages or other UN languages is an added advantage.

    UGX 8,000,000 to UGX 15,000,000 per month

The cost of living is lower compared to Kampala, but access to services is more limited. The role offers strong field experience in humanitarian operations.
