About the Role
The Operations Assistant at RamcoGas plays a crucial role in ensuring the seamless functioning of the company’s daily operations. This position is essential for maintaining high standards of efficiency and customer satisfaction. In the initial months, you will collaborate closely with the Operations Manager and gain hands-on experience in managing various operational tasks, from overseeing fleet management to ensuring timely delivery of client orders. Your contributions will directly impact the operational flow and overall service quality, making this role vital to the company’s success.
Key Responsibilities
- You will assist in managing the daily operations of the company, helping to implement strategies that enhance operational efficiency.
- Support the Operations Manager in leading and developing a team by providing necessary training and development opportunities to foster their growth.
- Monitor the fleet of vehicles to ensure they are well-maintained and presentable, addressing any mechanical issues promptly.
- Oversee staff attendance and address any attendance-related issues, ensuring that all team members are present and punctual.
- Help coordinate the timely delivery of client orders by monitoring logistics and reporting any delivery challenges to the Operations Manager.
- Assist in inventory management by ensuring sufficient stock levels are maintained, and facilitate stock purchases when necessary.
- Support the development of standard operating procedures for new processes while continuously seeking improvements in existing workflows.
- Participate in weekly staff meetings to discuss performance and identify areas for operational enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, promoting a safe working environment for all employees.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field is essential for this position.
- You should have at least 2 years of experience in a similar operations role to ensure adequate understanding of the industry’s demands.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are crucial for effective collaboration and reporting.
- The ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage your time efficiently in a dynamic environment is necessary for success.
- Experience in fleet management and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge will give you an edge in this role.
