Job Summary:
The role is focused on driving growth for the Corporate & Institutional Banking segment by attracting new clients, managing existing relationships, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Success in this position is measured by client acquisition, retention, and generating additional business through cross-selling banking products and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Expand the Corporate & Institutional Banking portfolio to meet growth, income, and quality targets.
- Identify, approach, and onboard new corporate and institutional clients, understanding their business needs and recommending appropriate banking solutions.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets across all products and services.
- Deepen relationships with existing clients to increase business through cross-selling opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and provide timely feedback to management to inform strategic decisions.
- Assist in identifying client needs not currently addressed by the bank and support the rollout of new products or services.
- Maintain strong client relationships through regular visits and proactive engagement.
- Oversee the corporate asset portfolio to ensure non-performing loans are within acceptable limits.
- Collaborate with branch managers to coordinate corporate banking initiatives and other sales activities.
- Ensure all transactions and documentation comply with regulatory requirements, including KYC and anti-money laundering policies.
- Manage risk for both existing and new portfolios to maintain a compliant and healthy asset book.
- Maintain accurate client accounts, including monitoring inactive or overdrawn accounts.
- Participate in team development, performance planning, and continuous learning initiatives.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional banking qualifications are an advantage.
- 3–5 years of experience in Corporate or Commercial Banking, customer service, or relationship management.
- Strong understanding of lending processes, credit assessment, and risk management.
- Excellent knowledge of banking operations, products, and service standards.
