About the Role
The Senior Sales Manager at CloudPeak Corporation plays a critical role in overseeing revenue growth and market expansion in Kampala. This position is designed for an energetic individual with a proven track record in sales to identify new business ventures, manage key accounts, and nurture long-lasting relationships with clients. Over the first few months, the new hire will familiarize themselves with the company’s offerings, develop sales strategies tailored to the local market, and start building rapport with existing and prospective clients. The role not only focuses on achieving sales targets but also emphasizes mentoring junior sales representatives, fostering a collaborative team environment, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement innovative sales strategies that are tailored to meet and surpass the established revenue goals of the company.
- Identify and engage potential customers through various channels, while also working to expand the service offerings to existing clients.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term partnerships with key clients, ensuring that their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
- Conduct comprehensive market research to gain insights into customer preferences, industry trends, and competitive dynamics that can inform sales tactics.
- Prepare and present compelling sales presentations and proposals that effectively showcase the company’s products and services to potential customers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements with clients to ensure optimal profitability while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the entire sales cycle, from initial lead generation to closing deals and providing ongoing post-sales support to ensure client retention.
- Generate accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to track progress and make informed strategic decisions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, customer service, and logistics, to create a seamless and satisfactory client experience.
- Monitor customer satisfaction levels and promptly address any client concerns or issues that may arise.
- Represent CloudPeak Corporation at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to raise brand awareness and identify new business opportunities.
- Mentor junior sales representatives, providing guidance and support to enhance their performance and contribute to overall team success.
- Maintain detailed and accurate customer records utilizing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems to streamline sales processes.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required for this role.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in sales management or a similar position, ideally within the Ugandan market.
- Strong understanding of sales principles, customer relationship management, and market dynamics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members alike.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads and customer interactions effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze market data and develop effective sales strategies based on insights.
