About the Role
At Coffee at Last, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer experiences in a vibrant coffee shop environment. We are currently looking to fill multiple positions including Sous Chef, Cashier, Waiters, and a Branch Manager in our Makindye and Buziga locations. This role is crucial as it contributes to the overall success and reputation of our establishment. In your first few months, you will immerse yourself in our operations, learning the unique dynamics of our kitchen and front-of-house service while receiving guidance from experienced team members.
Key Responsibilities
The Sous Chef will assist in the preparation of a diverse menu while ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation.
Cashiers will handle transactions accurately and efficiently, providing excellent customer service and resolving any payment issues that may arise.
Waiters and waitresses are expected to take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure a pleasant dining experience for our guests.
The Branch Manager will oversee daily operations, manage staff, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
All team members will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring that every customer feels valued and appreciated.
Collaboration among team members is vital; you will work together to maintain cleanliness and organization in both the kitchen and dining areas.
Requirements & Qualifications
For the Sous Chef position, a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience in a busy restaurant or hospitality kitchen is required.
Cashiers should have at least 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role, demonstrating strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Applicants for waiter or waitress roles must possess a minimum of 1 year of experience in a restaurant, café, or hotel setting.
The Branch Manager should have at least 3 years of experience in restaurant or hospitality operations, with proven supervisory or management capabilities.
All candidates should exhibit a passion for customer service and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
