About the Role
The Technical Lead at NKISI Holdings Uganda Ltd plays a crucial role in spearheading the company’s early-stage technical project development initiatives. This position is pivotal for establishing a robust foundation for NKISI’s operations in Uganda, focusing on renewable energy and infrastructure projects that aim to enhance the economic landscape. In the first few months, the Technical Lead will engage with potential clients and project sites, assess energy requirements, and coordinate feasibility studies. This role not only contributes to the success of NKISI’s projects but also positions you at the forefront of Uganda’s energy transformation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough industrial energy assessments by attending meetings and site visits with prospective energy customers to determine their specific needs.
- Analyze existing electricity bills, load profiles, and operational schedules to gain insights into clients’ energy consumption patterns.
- Identify gaps in technical information and recommend additional measurements or studies required to support project development.
- Coordinate technical studies and feasibility assessments to evaluate the viability of proposed energy projects.
- Prepare detailed reports that translate complex engineering data into actionable recommendations, project requirements, and cost estimates.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, contractors, and regulatory bodies to facilitate smooth project execution.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A degree in Engineering, Energy Management, or a related field is essential for this role.
- At least 5 years of experience in energy project development, engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and technical documentation effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines.
