About the Role

The Senior Application Programmer (EBS-Project) is a pivotal position that contributes significantly to the success of Horizon Industries by developing and maintaining essential software solutions. This role is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency across various business functions, thereby enabling effective project operations in both the public and private sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level guidance on sustainment lifecycle management for project operations.
• Analyze business applications and create design specifications across finance, accounting, personnel, logistics, and contracts.
• Develop block diagrams and logic flowcharts, translating intricate designs into functional software.
• Engage in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and refining software applications to meet project requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive program-level and user-level documentation.
• Enhance existing software to optimize operational efficiency and reduce processing time.
• Offer technical direction to fellow programmers to ensure project deadlines are achieved.
• Devise or adjust procedures to tackle complex challenges, taking into account equipment and operational limitations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in an Information Technology-related discipline with over 10 years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management for projects and programs.
• Proficiency in Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) to facilitate low-code/no-code platform models.
• Hands-on experience with low-code/no-code Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN) tools.
• Experience in developing application and process automation software based on BPMN frameworks.
• Familiarity with agile and hybrid methodologies in low-code application development.
• Strong background as an application programmer within large-scale Database Management Systems (DBMS).
