About the Role

As a Sales and Marketing Executive at UltraPack Industries Uganda Limited, you will play a crucial role in expanding our presence within the HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafés) sector, as well as the upcountry trade market. This role is vital for driving business growth and enhancing our customer relationships, which are key to our success in the food-grade aluminum foil packaging industry. In your initial months, you will focus on building a strong understanding of our product offerings and the competitive landscape, while actively engaging with potential clients to generate new business opportunities. You will collaborate closely with the production and logistics teams to ensure that client needs are met efficiently, creating a seamless experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will proactively identify and approach new business clients, including hotels, restaurants, and caterers, ensuring a steady pipeline of new B2B accounts.
  • Your role will involve cultivating and nurturing existing customer relationships, encouraging repeat business and bulk orders to maximize revenue.
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets will be a key focus, which you will achieve through strategic field visits, client meetings, and effective negotiations.
  • Collaboration with the production and logistics teams is essential to guarantee the timely and reliable delivery of our products to customers.
  • You will conduct market research to track industry trends and competitor activities, using this information to refine and adapt your sales strategies.
  • Regular reporting on sales performance and market insights will be required, enabling the management team to make informed decisions about future initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is typically required for this position.
  • You should possess at least 2-3 years of experience in sales or marketing, preferably within the food or packaging industry.
  • Demonstrable success in achieving sales targets and managing customer relationships will be essential for this role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary to effectively engage with clients and represent the company.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other sales management tools is expected to help streamline your activities and reporting.
