About the Role

The Business Manager at YooKatale plays a crucial role in steering the company towards achieving its mission of making healthy food accessible to all Ugandans. This position is essential to ensuring that both the operational and strategic aspects of the business are running smoothly. In the initial months, you will immerse yourself in understanding the company’s processes, analyze performance metrics, and work closely with various teams to enhance customer experience. As a hybrid role, you will experience both in-office collaboration and the flexibility of remote work, allowing for a well-rounded approach to managing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

• You will oversee the daily operations of YooKatale, ensuring that both digital and physical platforms are functioning efficiently to meet customer needs.
• Your role will involve managing budgets, tracking financial performance, and developing strategies to optimize resource allocation.
• You will coordinate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to enhance service delivery and improve overall customer satisfaction.
• As part of your responsibilities, you will analyze performance metrics, preparing comprehensive reports that aid leadership in making informed, data-driven decisions.
• You will play a vital role in building and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders to enhance service offerings and expand market reach.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent practical experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience in business operations and management, particularly in planning, budgeting, and process optimization.
• You must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and track key performance indicators effectively.
• Proven leadership abilities, including experience in team coordination, performance management, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Excellent communication skills are essential, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective collaboration across various teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in food services, retail, e-commerce, or technology-enabled marketplaces will be an added advantage.
