The Bloom & Wild Group is seeking a talented Artworker to join their Brand & Creative team, a crucial position that supports the expansion of their own-brand design program. This role is vital as it allows the company to scale its offerings while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency in its packaging designs. In your first few months, you will engage closely with the Lead Physical Product Designer and the Own Brand Product Designer, helping to refine and expand design guidelines while ensuring that new products meet established standards. You will be entrusted with the autonomy to adapt designs, making your judgment and precision key to the success of the team and the brand’s identity.
Key Responsibilities
You will prepare print-ready artwork files for a variety of packaging formats, such as boxes, sleeves, wraps, labels, tubes, tins, and tissue, ensuring that each meets the company’s quality standards.
Your role will involve extending established design systems to create new SKU variants and size derivatives, allowing the design to maintain coherence across different formats without needing designer input for each version.
As part of your responsibilities, you will help codify design guidelines for different product subcategories, ensuring that the process of creating variants is consistent, well-documented, and repeatable.
You will manage and ensure all artwork adheres to supplier specifications, paying close attention to bleeds, color profiles (CMYK/Pantone), dielines, and technical tolerances that are critical for print production.
Collaboration with print suppliers will be a key aspect of your role, as you will address technical queries, manage amendments, and oversee the sign-off of physical proofs in conjunction with the Lead Physical Product Designer.
Maintaining and organizing the own-brand artwork library will be essential, ensuring effective version control, proper file naming conventions, and asset management to support ongoing projects.
In addition to your primary tasks, you will support the Own Brand Product Designer and Lead Physical Product Designer as the product range and design system evolve, contributing to innovative solutions.
Requirements & Qualifications
Candidates should possess deep, hands-on knowledge of print production processes, including CMYK and Pantone color management, dielines, bleeds, traps, and ink coverage to ensure high-quality outputs.
The ideal applicant must demonstrate the ability to analyze existing designs and confidently determine how they can be scaled to meet new requirements.
An obsessive attention to detail is crucial, as accuracy will significantly impact the quality of the final product.
Applicants should have experience managing a high volume of live files across multiple projects, showcasing strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Collaboration is key in this role; therefore, candidates should be comfortable working closely with designers to ensure consistent application of design principles.
A proactive approach in seeking out automated workflows and AI-assisted tools will be advantageous, reflecting a commitment to improving efficiency in the design process.
