About the Role

The Revenue & Cost Controller position at Exante is a pivotal role within the Business Intelligence department, responsible for the meticulous handling of financial data and analytics. This role is crucial as it ensures that cost and revenue data are accurately captured and reflected in the General Ledger and analytical systems. In the initial months, you will become familiar with the existing processes, work closely with various teams, and take ownership of the data reconciliation and reporting processes. You will engage with cross-functional teams, bridging finance and technology, to streamline financial operations and enhance data quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the collection of cost and revenue data from external counterparties, ensuring it is complete and accurate for financial reporting.
• Implement appropriate booking logic to ensure all financial transactions are correctly recorded in the General Ledger.
• Conduct thorough reconciliations of financial data, identifying discrepancies and taking proactive measures to resolve them.
• Collaborate with finance, Business Intelligence, and technical teams to translate financial requirements into actionable technical specifications.
• Utilize analytical tools to enhance the reporting process and automate reconciliation procedures, increasing efficiency.
• Maintain a strong focus on data quality and integrity, conducting regular audits of financial data and controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A solid understanding of financial controls, reconciliation principles, and accounting standards is essential for this role.
• Proven experience working with General Ledger systems and managing detailed financial data is required.
• Strong logical and analytical skills are necessary to investigate and resolve complex discrepancies effectively.
• Ability to communicate financial requirements clearly to technical teams is crucial for successful collaboration.
