About the Role

The Manager, Executive Support for Philanthropic Partnerships & Influence at Thousand Currents plays a pivotal role in enhancing the operational efficiency of the Vice President of Philanthropic Partnerships & Influence (PPI). This position is essential for fostering seamless communication and relationship management within the organization and with external stakeholders. In the initial months, you will focus on understanding the VP’s priorities, managing their calendar, and ensuring smooth operations across various projects. Your proactive approach will enable the VP to concentrate on strategic leadership and impactful philanthropic efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will manage the Vice President’s calendar, proactively scheduling and responding to requests while considering the VP’s priorities and commitments.
  • Your strong writing skills will be essential as you draft clear and concise correspondence on behalf of the VP, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • By tracking upcoming commitments, you will provide timely reminders to the VP, helping them stay organized and focused on their responsibilities.
  • You will maintain Salesforce records for the VP’s portfolio, ensuring that all data is up-to-date and accessible for reporting purposes.
  • Preparation of briefing documents for key meetings will be a critical task, allowing the VP to be well-informed and ready for discussions.
  • As a key participant in meetings, you will capture decisions and next steps, ensuring that follow-ups are initiated promptly.
  • You will manage project engagement for the VP by tracking tasks and timelines, providing weekly updates to ensure all projects are on track.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar administrative or executive support role, ideally in a nonprofit or philanthropic environment.
  • You should possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen ability to articulate ideas clearly and professionally.
  • Strong organizational skills are essential, as you will be managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Salesforce or similar CRM systems are highly desirable.
  • You must demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information and communications.
