About the Role

The Volunteer (MK) position at Novo offers a unique opportunity for the adult children of Novo staff to engage in meaningful service during various Novo events and ministry trips. This role is vital as it fosters a sense of community and strengthens the outreach efforts of Novo through the active participation of its staff’s children. Volunteers will have the chance to apply their personal faith and experiences within a supportive environment that encourages spiritual growth. In the first few months, volunteers can expect to receive training, participate in team-building activities, and gain a deeper understanding of Novo’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the organization and execution of Novo events, ensuring all logistics are in place for a successful gathering.
• Participate actively in global outreach initiatives, representing Novo and its mission while engaging with diverse communities.
• Contribute to team discussions and planning sessions, offering insights based on personal experiences and perspectives.
• Engage in ministry trips, helping to facilitate programs and support local initiatives that align with Novo’s goals.
• Complete all necessary training related to child safety and volunteer guidelines, ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Foster a positive and inclusive environment among peers, encouraging collaboration and shared faith experiences.

Requirements & Qualifications

• The ideal candidate must possess an active, personal relationship with Jesus, serving as a foundation for their volunteer work.
• A relevant history or prior engagement with Novo is highly preferred, showcasing commitment and understanding of the organization.
• Volunteers should be in a healthy place in their own MK journey, demonstrating emotional and spiritual wellness.
• Strong interpersonal skills are essential, as volunteers will interact with a variety of individuals from different backgrounds.
• The ability to work collaboratively in a team setting is crucial, promoting a spirit of unity and shared purpose.
