About the Role
The Uganda National Oil Company (UNOC) Limited is on a quest to recruit talented individuals for various roles to support its pivotal function in managing Uganda’s oil and gas resources. This organization, fully owned by the Government of Uganda, is dedicated to ensuring that the country’s oil resources are exploited sustainably and commercially. Successful candidates can expect to engage in a dynamic work environment, contributing to critical projects that will shape the future of the oil and gas sector in Uganda. In the first few months, new hires will undergo orientation, familiarize themselves with UNOC’s operations, and begin contributing to ongoing projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of estates, ensuring that all facilities are in compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to develop innovative solutions for petroleum engineering challenges.
- Support the planning and execution of projects, contributing to the strategic objectives of the oil and gas sector.
- Prepare and analyze reports related to oil production and logistics to enhance decision-making processes.
- Engage with various stakeholders, including government agencies and private partners, to foster positive relationships in the industry.
- Participate in training and development programs to enhance personal and professional growth within the company.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A relevant degree in engineering, project management, business development, or related fields is essential for most positions.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry or related sectors is an advantage, reflecting familiarity with the sector’s dynamics.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools to support decision-making and project planning.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively engage with team members and stakeholders.
- A proactive attitude and readiness to work in various locations as required by UNOC’s operational needs.
