About the Role
The Human Resources & Facilities Manager at Recycled Materials Association (ReMA) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation of human resources and facilities management within the organization. This position is vital as it not only supports the VP of Human Resources but also upholds the company’s commitment to employee engagement and operational excellence. In the initial months, the new manager will immerse themselves in ongoing HR programs and workplace operations, building relationships with staff while assessing current practices for areas of improvement. Key Responsibilities
- The Human Resources & Facilities Manager collaborates closely with the VP of Human Resources to enhance recruiting processes, onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations initiatives.
- They are responsible for administering and coordinating employee development programs aimed at increasing organizational effectiveness and retaining talent.
- This role involves managing the entire recruitment lifecycle, including crafting job postings, communicating with candidates, scheduling interviews, and overseeing hiring logistics.
- Maintaining accurate personnel records, HR systems, and confidential employee information is crucial, alongside assisting with benefits administration and addressing employee inquiries.
- The manager prepares HR reports and workforce metrics, supporting various HR projects, including compensation analysis and policy updates.
- Monitoring HR processes to ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies is essential, serving as a resource for managers on employee relations and performance issues.
- On the facilities side, the manager oversees daily operations, acting as the main contact with building management and coordinating maintenance requests and office improvements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is typically required, with a master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
- At least five years of experience in a human resources management position, showcasing a strong background in HR practices and employee relations.
- Proficiency in HR software and MS Office Suite is essential for managing records and reporting accurately.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to effectively engage with employees and management across various levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and navigate complex employee relations issues with professionalism.
