About the Role
As a Credit Specialist at Zoomlion, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of the company by managing credit risks and ensuring sound credit practices. Your expertise will help the organization make informed lending decisions and maintain strong relationships with customers. In your first few months, you will assess customer credit applications, familiarize yourself with the company’s credit policies, and collaborate closely with the Sales and Finance teams to address any credit issues that arise. This position is vital for safeguarding the company’s financial interests while fostering a culture of responsible credit management.
Key Responsibilities
- You will assess customers’ credit applications thoroughly to determine their creditworthiness based on comprehensive financial analysis.
- Your role will involve verifying customer information and conducting necessary due diligence to minimize risks associated with credit transactions.
- Establishing and monitoring customer credit limits will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring they align with company risk policies.
- You will follow up on outstanding accounts diligently, ensuring timely debt collection and minimizing overdue accounts.
- Preparing aging reports will be essential, allowing you to recommend appropriate actions for overdue accounts to management.
- Collaboration with Sales and Finance teams will be necessary to resolve any credit-related matters efficiently and effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with the company’s credit policies and procedures will be a critical part of your daily tasks to maintain operational integrity.
- Additionally, you will prepare periodic reports on credit risk and receivables for management review, aiding in strategic decision-making.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field is essential for this role.
- You should have 1–5 years of experience in credit management, credit analysis, accounts receivable, banking, or a similar finance position.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial reporting are necessary to evaluate credit applications effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite is required to perform data analysis and prepare reports.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills will be crucial for interacting with clients and team members.
- A high level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong problem-solving abilities will be expected to navigate complex credit situations.
