About the Role
This position as the Director of Employer Partnerships at Crossover is pivotal for the launch of the Workplace Scholarships program, which introduces a novel employer channel for funding K-12 scholarships through payroll giving. This role is vital as it not only creates a new category within enterprise sales but also promotes a significant social impact by facilitating educational opportunities for children. In your initial months, you will focus on establishing relationships with key decision-makers in large organizations, educating them about this innovative model, and laying the groundwork for successful program implementation. Your efforts will help shape the sales strategy and messaging for this groundbreaking initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- You will cultivate a robust outbound pipeline by engaging with Heads of HR, Total Rewards, Benefits, and CSR at large enterprises, specifically those employing over 10,000 individuals.
- Leading intricate, consultative sales cycles will be essential, as you will navigate through various departments including HR, Finance, Legal, and Payroll to ensure the successful launch of the Workplace Scholarships program.
- As a subject matter expert, you will guide employers on payroll deduction processes, withholding mechanics, ERISA compliance, and multi-state eligibility, while directing tax-related inquiries to professional advisors.
- Your goal will be to convert signed employers into successful program participants, ensuring that employee enrollment occurs before the 2027 tax season.
- You will actively capture and analyze structured market intelligence from buyer conversations, using this data to refine messaging, define the ideal customer profile, and enhance the overall enterprise go-to-market strategy.
- By building this new category, you will have the opportunity to define and optimize the sales process, making a lasting impact on the organization’s growth trajectory and market presence.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A proven track record in enterprise sales, particularly in selling voluntary benefits, workplace giving, or payroll-integrated programs to large employers is essential for this role.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to engage effectively with senior executives across multiple departments.
- Experience in building sales pipelines from the ground up and navigating complex organizational structures is crucial.
- A strategic mindset with the ability to analyze market trends and customer feedback to refine sales strategies will be highly beneficial.
- Educational background in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, with at least 5-7 years of relevant experience in a sales role.
