About the Role
The Medical Sales & Business Development Executive at Snow Holdings Ltd is essential to expanding CLF Medical Uganda’s institutional healthcare portfolio. This position centers on developing new B2B client relationships while enhancing existing partnerships with hospitals across Uganda. In the first few months, the Executive will engage with healthcare professionals, understand their unique requirements, and present tailored medical solutions. This role not only emphasizes strategic planning but also requires proactive outreach to achieve sustainable revenue growth in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies aimed at acquiring new private hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers throughout Uganda’s major regions, enhancing overall market penetration.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers, such as chief medical officers and procurement heads, to foster trust and encourage repeat business consistently.
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations, technical workshops, and clinical presentations to effectively showcase CLF Medical’s equipment and consumable solutions to healthcare professionals.
- Negotiate contracts, service agreements, and pricing structures that maintain a balance between profitability and customer satisfaction, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to identify new business opportunities and adapt sales tactics for optimal performance.
- Prepare and present accurate sales forecasts, activity reports, and performance dashboards to senior management, supporting strategic planning and resource allocation on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery, appropriate installation, and after-sales support for all sold medical equipment nationwide.
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of Uganda’s healthcare regulations, tender processes, and public-private partnership initiatives to effectively advise clients and influence purchasing decisions.
Requirements & Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field from a recognized university, with strong academic performance and relevant coursework.
- A minimum of five years of proven experience in medical sales, healthcare business development, or B2B sales within Uganda or the broader East African region.
- A strong understanding of Uganda’s healthcare system, including knowledge of private hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and public health initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage client relationships and track sales activities efficiently.
