MID. PHP DEVELOPER (SYMFONY)

About the Role

As a Mid PHP Developer at Reiz Tech, you will join a dedicated team focused on enhancing the company’s fintech product offerings. Your role is crucial in designing, constructing, and elevating backend systems that are not only high-performing but also secure and reliable. In the initial months, you’ll engage deeply with both legacy and contemporary codebases, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the architecture while contributing to ongoing projects. Your expertise will directly influence the product’s scalability and performance, which is vital for meeting the demands of our clients across various global markets.

Key Responsibilities

• You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems using PHP (8.x) and the Symfony framework, ensuring that all solutions meet industry standards.
• Working with both legacy and modern codebases will be part of your day-to-day tasks, where you’ll ensure stability, performance, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Your ability to independently analyze, understand, and maintain complex code will be essential, especially as you incorporate AI tools as supplementary resources.
• Architecting robust, secure solutions while adhering to fintech standards will be one of your primary objectives.
• Building and maintaining REST APIs will be crucial, with a focus on proper versioning and ensuring backward compatibility with existing systems.
• You will optimize database performance using MySQL or MariaDB, including tasks such as query tuning, schema design, and managing migrations.
• Implementing and maintaining Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines in containerized environments using Docker will be a key responsibility.
• Ensuring high code quality through comprehensive testing strategies such as unit, integration, and feature tests, along with conducting thorough code reviews, will be expected of you.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, showcasing a strong foundation in coding practices.
• Expert-level proficiency in PHP 8.x is required, along with a solid understanding of modern development practices.
• You should have at least 5 years of experience with Laravel or Symfony, demonstrating a deep understanding of these frameworks.
• Strong experience with MySQL or MariaDB is necessary, particularly in areas such as query optimization and schema design.
• A solid understanding of REST API design principles will be essential for this position.
• Proficiency in using Git for version control, including branching strategies and release workflows, is expected.
• Experience with PHPUnit for defining testing strategies will be beneficial in maintaining code quality.
