About the Role

The Network & Cygna DDI Operations Engineer – L3 position at FPT IS Careers plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability and security of network infrastructure and DDI services for a global clientele. This position acts as the primary technical contact for complex network systems, making it essential for maintaining high service standards. In the initial months, you will immerse yourself in the existing network frameworks, engage in troubleshooting high-priority incidents, and collaborate with the L2 team to enhance operational processes. Your expertise will help shape the future of network operations, ensuring seamless communication and efficient service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will serve as the senior technical authority for network infrastructure, overseeing operations related to LAN/WLAN, switches, routers, and wireless connectivity.
  • Your role will involve managing complex incidents and changes, where you will conduct thorough root cause analyses for critical incidents, particularly those related to DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
  • In this position, you will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and administering the Cygna Labs DDI platform, ensuring that address allocation policies and access controls are effectively implemented.
  • You will develop and automate DDI integrations utilizing REST APIs and Cygna Automation Appliances, facilitating efficient workflows with tools like ServiceNow and Terraform.
  • As part of your duties, you will operate and fine-tune DDI security measures, including protective DNS and DNS firewalls, while ensuring compliance with security protocols.
  • Your expertise will be crucial in lifecycle management for Sapphire appliances, including upgrades and configuration backups, as well as capacity planning for IP address allocation.
  • You will play a vital role in mentoring and training the L2 team, creating comprehensive runbooks, standard operating procedures, and maintaining technical documentation in adherence to industry standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Networking, Telecommunications, or a related field is required for this position.
  • Applicants should have a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network operations or design, particularly with Cisco platforms, demonstrating a strong grasp of routing and switching technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of advanced routing protocols (such as OSPF, BGP, EIGRP) and enterprise wireless technologies is essential for success in this role.
  • Candidates must possess substantial experience in DDI operations and design, specifically with Cygna Labs DDI or equivalent platforms, along with a solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM.
  • Experience in conducting root cause analyses and managing performance tuning is expected, along with familiarity in working within ITIL or ITSM frameworks.
  • Fluency in English at a minimum B1 level is required to effectively communicate with global clients and vendors.
