About the Role

The Sales Specialist position at Platinum Credit Limited is pivotal for driving the growth of the company’s financial products and services in Uganda. This role is essential as it focuses on establishing and nurturing relationships with clients, ensuring they have access to tailored financial solutions that meet their needs. In the initial months, new hires will immerse themselves in understanding the product offerings, engage in training sessions, and start building their network of potential clients. This experience equips you with valuable insights into the microfinance sector, while also enhancing your sales capabilities in a competitive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and approach potential clients effectively to present Platinum Credit’s diverse range of financial products.
  • Explain loan products and associated terms clearly to prospective customers, ensuring they understand their options and benefits.
  • Guide clients through the entire application process, offering support and answering any questions to facilitate a smooth experience.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by providing exceptional customer service and follow-up support.
  • Collaborate with branch and regional teams to drive promotional activities and participate in field sales initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements while conducting sales activities.
  • Contribute to sales forecasting and reporting, providing valuable feedback from the market to inform product development.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong communication and customer service skills to effectively engage with clients and resolve inquiries.
  • Proven sales experience, ideally with a track record of exceeding sales targets and converting leads into customers.
  • Experience in sales management and the ability to mentor colleagues on best practices and performance improvement.
  • Sound understanding of financial products and microfinance services, with a willingness to quickly learn about Platinum Credit’s offerings.
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, demonstrating a client-focused approach in all interactions.
  • A certificate, diploma, or degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is considered an advantage.
  • Prior experience in financial services, banking, or microfinance within East Africa is beneficial, though not mandatory.
