About the Role
This part-time Salesperson position at YooKatale is crucial for enhancing food accessibility across Uganda. By engaging with potential customers and vendors, you’ll play a key role in promoting a mobile platform that connects communities to healthy food options, driving both social impact and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and approach potential customers to promote YooKatale’s mobile food market services.
- Assist vendors and buyers in effectively using the platform.
- Onboard new vendors and demonstrate the app’s features to enhance user experience.
- Follow up on leads and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to foster repeat business.
- Gather customer feedback and share valuable market insights with the team.
- Support promotional activities and campaigns in targeted areas to boost platform visibility.
- Track basic sales metrics, report progress to the team, and collaborate on strategies to improve customer satisfaction.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Proven sales, negotiation, and closing skills, with an aptitude for conveying value effectively.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, characterized by empathy and a solution-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in using smartphones, mobile apps, and basic digital tools for demonstrating the platform.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle field visits and reporting efficiently.
- A keen interest or background in the food, retail, or marketplace sectors in Uganda is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a hybrid team.
- Fluency in English and relevant local languages, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in sales, field marketing, or community outreach is preferred, but a willingness to learn is essential.
