About the Role

Chint Uganda is seeking a dynamic and experienced Stores Manager to lead our operations in Kampala. This role is crucial for ensuring that inventory management runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting our mission to deliver high-quality consumer electronics. In your first few months, you will familiarize yourself with our current systems, engage with staff to build strong teams, and establish best practices for inventory control. The Stores Manager will play a pivotal role in maintaining compliance with operational standards while driving improvements in efficiency and accuracy. Your expertise will help shape a well-organized store environment that meets customer needs and supports overall business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will oversee daily operations of the store, ensuring that all inventory processes are executed with precision and compliance.
  • Regularly monitor stock levels and prepare detailed reports that reflect inventory accuracy, identifying trends and potential issues.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain Manager to develop and implement effective budgeting and cost control measures.
  • Provide leadership to store staff, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback to enhance team productivity.
  • Ensure that store layout and operations comply with company standards and regulations, optimizing customer experience.
  • Facilitate clear communication between departments, including sales and supply chain, to ensure smooth operational flow and address any challenges promptly.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • You should possess at least 4-6 years of hands-on experience in stores, inventory, or warehouse management, with a focus on supervisory roles.
  • Experience in a retail, commercial, or distribution environment is essential to understand the dynamics of store operations.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and stock control practices is expected to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical for effective team management and cross-departmental collaboration.
